My dream job

Some time ago I saw a documentary about the tour of a comedian that I like a lot, "edo caroe". In this documentary Eduardo travels on his motorcycle throughout Chile doing stand-up in bars and theaters while getting to know the different places and sharing with his work team. After seeing this dynamic I was fascinated with the idea of traveling and working. I definitely wouldn't be doing stand up because my jokes are very bad, but that's where my interest in traveling and working at the same time was born.


On the other hand, a few years ago I met a sociologist who used to travel around rather rural places collecting stories and songs that he really called popular music, what we understand as folklore. He told me very heartwarming stories of how all the stories connected as I listened to them. I realized that's what I wanted for myself, to get to know different ways of life as I traveled, that would be a perfect job for me. I would like to do a podcast interviewing people about their way of life, something like "The midnight gospel" (if you haven't seen it, I recommend it) the bad thing is that I don't think that I can sustain myself from that, and I don't think I can work all my life from that, who knows, maybe I can.

    i think that woring in the field and collecting stories and song is a beautifull job, like what Violeta Parra did.

The best holiday

  I honestly do not remember the trips I've made, and I havent went a concert that i remember especially fondly, but maybe I can talk about my most recent trip that otherwise was the first trip I made by myself Although we had already talked about this, one day out of nowhere my cousin wrote to me inviting me to his house. My cousin lives in the fourteenth region of Chile, in Valdivia. As I was excited about the invitation, I planned everything to leave as soon as possible.  As soon as I could, I took a bus from Santiago to Valdivia. It was almost 2000 km and it took more than 10 terrible hours by bus, I could not sleep at all, and to make matters worse, when I arrived I got lost and had to walk for an hour at dawn, but it was worth it to at least get to know the streets of Valdivia. Postgraduates Studies

The truth is that there was a moment in which I considered doing a postgraduate degree, more specifically in physics, but I realized that if I did it I would only do it for the pleasure of learning something that I like and that it would not contribute much to the work development I am looking for, and if we consider that there may be a lot of mathematics involved, I may not like doing that postgraduate degree so much, so that idea is a bit discarded for now. At some point I thought that the best time to do a graduate degree was immediately after finishing my degree, however, on second thought I think it is best to take some time to work on what your undergraduate degree allows you to relate to the work environment, raise money, and reconsider whether it is worth spending time and money on that graduate degree. Academic challenges for 2021

  Like many people, I found it difficult to learn through online classes, it is difficult to keep your attention on a screen, and even more so when the course is not of interest to you. However, my biggest challenge has been to have real contact with the course. The theoretical courses are isolated in numbers, and the practical courses technically stopped being practical. This was definitely what I have disliked the most in the last two years. Not being able to confirm my love for the career has made me doubt my academic decision a lot.  To my luck I have had professors who have awakened interest in the subject through theory, or the possibilities that may exist in the world of sound. On the other hand, I have been forced to learn about sound by other means. just for not having the opportunity to go to live events, I have spent many hours in streaming and audiovisual media, where I think I'm learning on my own, and that while not strictly related to sound, it gives me joy to d...
